Wordcamp Israel: How to update your blog when everyone around you take bandwidth?

I succesfully managed to blog and upload photos.
how? I use external software: I use the Windows Live Writer for my blog and the Flickr Uploader API.
When the bandwidth is slow the API will get stuck. I solve it with uploading 1 photo at a time.
Sucks, but work.
